After that, I took a nap from about 9a to 10a. During nap time, my mommy, daddy, and bubbie got everything ready out back for my party. When I woke up the tables were decorated, the balloons and streamers were hung, and my favorite present (my Radio Flyer wagon from Bubbie and Grandpa) was outside waiting for me to get in after Auntie Mel Mel fed me my bottle. After that, Nana, Popoulli, Great Grandma Shirley (GiGi), Grandmommy Cheri, and Great Grandma Jane came over to help finish setting up and play with me!
My mommy made everyone leave the inside of the house around 11:30p so she could feed me in a quiet room so I would eat a good lunch - and I did just that! After that, she put me in my crib so I would hopefully take a nap. Yea right! With that much excitement going on, I couldn't sleep. So I just had some quiet time by myself in my crib for an hour until the party got started.

Everyone came to celebrate my special day. All three of my great grandmas were there - Great Bubbie, GiGi, and Great Grandma, my auntie Mel Mel from Texas, Grandmommy Cheri, all my Hausner play babies, my Chavurah baby friends, and all the rest of our neighbors and friends. And of course, my other grandparents who I am lucky enough to see all year round - Bubbie, Grandpa, Nana, and Popoulli. Grandpa was in charge of picture taking (they look amazing!), Bubbie was in charge of making sure the party ran smoothly and everything was where it needed to be, Auntie Mel Mel was in charge of videoing, Popoulli was in charge of barbecuing, Nana was in charge of baking 4 cakes and cupcakes (yummy!), and Daddy was in charge of music on his new outdoor speakers (I loved jamming to WeeSing!). Mommy made sure everything was perfect!

I loved playing with everybody and everything at the party - but most of all I loved playing in the bucket of icy water. For cake time, I sat in my chair, and picked at my cake, getting it all over my hands, but never eating it. I'm just not that into cake yet, I guess.
I had a great birthday and received many wonderful gifts (thank you everyone!). I never took an afternoon nap and never had one meltdown. My parents were so proud of me! Mommy is sad I am no longer in the "baby stage" and can't believe what a difference a year makes. She tells me everyday that "I can't believe you're the same 4.5 pound baby that I brought home from the hospital." I know she's a bit sad about how fast I grow, so I've been doing an extra good job of saying mamamama often and giving her "kissies" when she asks. I know she couldn't be more proud of me (and of course, my daddy is too!) She's taking tomorrow off for my real birthday because she couldn't bear to spend it without me, even though it's the last week of teaching school for her.
