Tyler 20 months

Wow! Mommy gets pregnant and I can't seem to find the time to update this blog! I'm now 26 weeks pregnant and feeling good, albeit tired!! The first three months were rough once again, but a lot harder with a toddler. Alan was amazing in what he put up with and says there will be no third child - we'll see though, I usually get my way!! I'll be working right up until the baby comes (hopefully I'll have a week off before she comes), so I'm staying pretty busy working full time and chasing after a toddler. We're so excited to welcome Baby Girl in the middle of May...we're hoping she's not born a preemie, like Tyler, but we'll be happy whenever we get to meet her, especially if she's healthy.

A terrible virus has come through our household (and the grandparents! - sorry about that...), but we are all hoping we are on the road to recovery. Tyler ended up with a double ear infection and pink eye, so Mommy and Tyler are on antibiotics - we're hoping Daddy isn't next.

Tyler is amazing! Alan and I truly feel lucky to be his parents! He is smart (of course, gifted!!), funny, and so kind to others. He's going to be a great big brother, if we can keep him from kissing every baby in sight! He is talking up a storm and says some pretty funny things - some of my favorites are: me happy, mommy cute, ipod, yesssssss, elmo and abby (sesame street), and the big one in our house these days due to the pink eye is: no eye drops mommy! Of course he says a bazillion other words as well. In fact, at the doctor's office today I laughed while filling out the questionnaire where it said, "Does your child have 20 words in their vocabulary?" Not only does he have a pretty large vocabulary, but he mimicks EVERYTHING! Which is very cute, until he does something you don't want him to do --- oops, better be careful with that one!

One of my favorite things he does is that he has labeled the jobs around the house to the people who usually do things: daddy and diapers, mommy and cutting fingernails, nana and laundry, "da" (grandpa) and rough housing, bubbie and playing, papu and football, and Auntie Mel and daily phone calls or Skype.

Back to the doctor's - Tyler weighs 26.5 pounds (35th percentile) and is 2 feet, 10.25 inches (90th percentile). Although Tyler screamed throughout most of the appointment, Tyler soon warmed up, just like he does to all! The doctor went through a list of animals and asked Tyler to make the sounds of each animal - and Tyler got them all right! That's our boy! Dr. Clark was especially impressed by Tyler's "qaucking" and "meowing" skills! Tyler showed off all of his other tricks as well which made Dr. Clark laugh! Some of these were his "old man impression of saying hi," showing off his teeth, elevator pose, and telling the doctor that mommy's cute!

Here are the promised videos - only took Daddy a month to get to!
